The team has a deep understanding of the telecommunications and OSS industry, in both start-up and corporate environments.
Mike Frayne, Chief Executive Officer
As chief executive officer of VOSS, Mike Frayne is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, sales, profitability, and aggressive growth plans. Mike brings to VOSS a background of managing high-growth companies and successfully taking them to IPO.
Before joining VOSS, Mike Frayne was co-founder and Executive Chairman of Intec Telecom Systems PLC. Prior to founding the Intec Group he worked as a consultant for a number of years, following IT management roles in the investment banking industry. Mike holds an MBA from Wits Business School, Johannesburg, and a BSc in Information Technology and Psychology. Mike was named Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2001. Mike’s business interests are truly global, ranging from companies in the USA, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Ian Middleton, Chief Technical Officer
Ian Middleton is a co-founder of the company and provides the overall technical leadership for the company. Ian provides VOSS with IP communications leadership gained from a deep experience in communications design and management. Ian has over 20 years experience in the IT & T industry, with 15 years experience in the operation, design and architecture of large scale voice and data networks.
Ian was Principal Consultant with JacobsRimell Ltd. Prior to that he was an Independent consultant for global ATM, Frame Relay and IP networks. Ian has during his career worked with British Telecom, Reuters and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Norm Halvorson, Chief Financial Officer
Norm Halvorson is responsible for the company's financial accounting and reporting as well as the administration functions. Halvorson, who brings more than 20 years accounting and financial experience to VOSS, will focus on driving the company’s growth and financial success.
Prior to VOSS, Halvorson was CFO for Computer Generation Inc (CGI) out of Atlanta where he was responsible for managing the company accounts and finance team. From 2000 when CGI was acquired by Intec Telecom Systems Plc, he worked as CFO of North America, before being promoted in 2005, to North American Chief Operations Officer (COO). In 2006, Halvorson moved to Malaysia as COO for Intec Telecom Systems, Asia Pacific, with responsibility for all activities in the region, and growing annual revenue to £24.4m.
Christopher May, VP Business Development
Christopher May is a VP and co-founder at VOSS. Responsible for customer acquisition and development and key relationships in North America and Asia, he also oversees the VOSS corporate marketing function. Christopher has 20 years’ experience with large technology projects, including DOCSIS broadband for Cable & Wireless Optus, Satellite broadband for UPC, and Digital PayTV for TCI. He was a partner in Broadcentric, a specialist Digital Broadband company, and has held senior commercial and technical/operational roles with Siemens, TCI and Schlumberger SA, including VP Asia Pac at JacobsRimell. Christopher has an MBA from Macquarie University, Australia and a BEng from Sydney University.
Henry Barton, VP Strategy 
Henry Barton is the Strategy Director for VOSS, is a co-founder of the company, and is responsible for leading VOSS’ product integration and customer advocacy. Henry has over 15 years in the Telecommunication, Cable and OSS sector and was Director/CTO for companies such as JacobsRimell, Cable & Wireless Communications and Nynex Cablecomms.
Henry was Founder and CEO of Broadcentric, a specialist Digital Broadband 'convergent solutions' company. He spent 4 years at McKinsey & Co as a senior management consultant focusing on the telecoms sector. Henry has an MBA from the London Business School and the Sloan School, MIT, with 1st Class BSc Honours in Engineering Science. He is a member of the IEE and is a Chartered Engineer.
Rob Moore, VP Global Services
Rob Moore is responsible for the company's project management, solutions engineering, training, and deployment services for all regions. Rob brings more than 15 years solutions engineering and IT & T consulting experience to VOSS and will focus on ensuring successful and satisfied customer delivery.
Prior to VOSS, Rob was Director of IT & Telephony Operations for Dundee Wealth Management. During his career Rob has worked in various managerial, senior solution sales and consulting roles with IBM, Sprint Canada, Group Telecom and London Hydro Telecoms. Rob holds an MBA from Athabasca University’s Centre for Innovative Management and a BA in Information Technology.
Hanco Janse van Rensburg, VP Engineering
Based in Cape Town, Hanco Janse van Rensburg is VP Engineering at VOSS, responsible for architecture and design, development, quality assurance and customer support. Hanco joined VOSS from Intec Systems, where he held several technical leadership positions, supporting customers such as Hutchison 3G, Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. With a B.Comm and Honours Degree in Computre Science, Hanco is an entrepreneur at heart, having founded several businesses in the past.
