SAN JOSE AND READING - November 7, 2006 - IP Unity, the leader in carrier-grade media servers, application servers and real-time multimedia applications, and VisionOSS, a leader in VoIP management solutions for hosted Unified Communications platforms, have expanded their strategic partnership for delivery of carrier and enterprise enhanced services and service management.
The companies currently collaborate on the implementation of enterprise services and provisioning with Cisco’s Unified Communications system in hosted and managed environments.
VisionOSS will now serve as a key systems integrator to both carrier and large enterprise telephony accounts worldwide, delivering its Business Voice Services Manager (BVSM) and IP Unity’s media-rich Mereon Unified Messaging and Collaboration features for entities using the Cisco environment.
”We have been highly successful in the joint deployment of our service provisioning management tools and IP Unity’s enhanced services features for business customers. It is a natural outgrowth of our success to now focus on very large network integration opportunities which involve carriers using the Cisco architecture,” stated Mike Frayne, CEO at VisionOSS.
"Our carrier-class features and multiple applications are well-proven in the large operator environments VisionOSS is now addressing", said Dr. Keith Bhatia, Chief Business Officer of IP Unity. “The VisionOSS integration team is highly skilled within the Business Voice Services management scope, and can apply IP Unity messaging, conferencing and video applications to its hosted and managed IP Telephony expertise for practically any carrier and large enterprise rolling out hosted service delivery. There is great synergy to our working relationship and target opportunities.”
Business Voice Services Manager (BVSM) is designed to reduce complexity, speed implementation and cut costs of large IP telephony installations. BVSM is a key element in the successful deployment and operation of hosted and managed IP telephony networks, supporting an ever widening market of service providers and large enterprises. BVSM does more than promise faster implementation, rapid ROI, and reduced cost and complexity.
It’s delivering those tangible benefits today supporting the Cisco Unified Communications system for hosted or managed environments.
IP Unity’s Mereon 6000 Media Server, Mereon Application Server and Mereon Unified Messaging capabilities help carriers accelerate profitability, reduce time-to-market for new services and significantly increase ROI. The network-agnostic Mereon architecture lowers risk by balancing Capex/ Opex with revenue generation, supports IP/TDM networks to eliminate capital stranding, and is ideal for converged networks (wireline, wireless, cable/broadband). Mereon solutions give providers comprehensive audio, web, video and collaborative communications and simplify media-rich feature deployment.
