Announcing VOSS 7.4 - The Latest Service Delivery and Management Platform for Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C)

VOSS 7.4 now supports the latest release of Cisco’s UC applications, including Unified Communications Manager 8.6 and its advanced suite of voice and mobility features; Unity Connection 8.6 and its advanced suite of messaging features; Unified Presence 8.6; Cisco WebEx; and an extensive range Unified Mobility Clients and the latest Cisco devices, such as the Cisco CIUS.
With VOSS 7.4, VOSS Solutions is now releasing its latest integrated UC&C management technology at the same time that Cisco releases its UC applications update. This means that the very latest Cisco UC applications are supported by VOSS management, well ahead of other management systems.
The capability and market leadership of the VOSS technology has been recognized by Cisco in that VOSS has been selected to provide the UC&C fulfillment management component for Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) and consequently, VOSS 7.4 has been architected to support the latest HCS 8.6 requirements.

Enabling flexible deployment models
When choosing a UC&C deployment model, most enterprises want to embrace cloud-based applications whilst continuing to support their legacy environment. VOSS 7.4 enables service providers and enterprises to centrally manage large numbers of customers or business units, each with a ‘hybrid’ mix of UC&C network infrastructure and applications, combined with cloud-based applications. This enables companies to seamlessly roll out and manage complex UC&C environments from a single pane of glass, and empowers them to harness the benefits of cloud-based UC&C whilst administering legacy environments within the same management platform.
Integrating dial plan management with UC&C applications to improve mobility
VOSS 7.4 fully manages the dial plan, and now with the enhancement of UC&C applications, VOSS brings this dial plan capability to bear on a number of advanced mobility features. VOSS 7.4 supports a range of the latest Cisco and third-party mobility clients, including Dual mode, Android, and Nokia clients. This allows users to stay in touch and control their communications from a variety of devices, wherever they are. It also allows enterprises to leverage the ubiquity of smartphones and their capabilities, and to offer their users more versatility, whilst maintaining control and cost of the overall infrastructure.
Unparalleled UC&C collaboration
VOSS delivers and manages all UC&C applications and services including voice, video and web conferencing, voicemail, and instant messaging. VOSS 7.4 also includes Cisco WebEx collaboration, enabling users to be offered a full package of UC&C applications, including web and audio conferencing. With the addition of WebEx, VOSS is now able to package and deliver product bundles that include Cisco’s entire suite of UC applications.
Systems integration with multiple business systems
VOSS 7.4 abstracts business-relevant service configuration from the underlying technology to provide a common administrative experience, simplifying integration into other systems irrespective of the underlying technology. Additionally, VOSS 7.4 adds the ability for the self-care interface to employ external LDAP services for authentication, allowing end users to utilize existing credentials. Through advanced APIs and integration methodologies, VOSS enables the UC&C platform to be integrated into billing, inventory and order entry systems, as well as supporting cross-company collaboration by providing authentication and access to other external systems.
