VOSS is an automated UC service delivery and management Platform designed specifically to address the challenges involved in deploying and managing UC and managed IP telephony (IPT) services to large connected real estate operations.
VOSS is the only UC management platform that has the scalability and virtualization capability to support large scale, multi-development, multi-use real estate operations. It is the ability to manage the network, services and resources centrally, without restricting the independence of each real estate development operating across multiple IP-PBX clusters, that differentiates VOSS.
Physics dictates that the physical voice and UC network must be decentralized for a large, geographically disperse organization, yet VOSS provides the means to centrally manage these vast networks, standardize processes and control the costs.
VOSS has architected a solution that virtualizes the ability to manage large connected real estate companies, ensuring that their migration to IPT does not require massive resources, nor should it take years to implement.
VOSS provides the following functionality to connected real estate companies and their multiple business units operating across a large number of developments:
- A business-driven portal for an “end-to-end solution architecture” over the full lifecycle of the platform - from design, through build and deployment, through support and administration, through to upgrading
- Automation of the complex set of service configuration steps, simplifying operations in real time – ultimately allowing the company and its business units to focus on business processes, not the technology
- VOSS provides a manager of manager (MoM) capability for multiple global network elements, plus the full suite of UC services. Each one of these elements typically provides its own separate management interface today, but VOSS removes the need for multiple, separate management steps
- Support the provisioning and management of medium to large-scale, multi-business and multi-site IPT deployments - from 2,000 to 1 million+ business phones
- Supporting the delivery of advanced UC applications, without the need for major systems integration
- Manage the allocation and configuration of large scale IPT resources, including IP PBX clusters, transit soft switches, firewalls, media gateways, IP address management systems, customer dial-plans, telephone numbers, phones, lines and value-added services
- Enable the central IT&T organization to devolve the administration of telephony services to enterprise customers and their end-users (catering both for multi-tenant partitioning requirements and for multi-cluster situations
- Allow end-users to self-subscribe to chargeable voice features, events and services, as well as to administer the set-up of their phone profile
- Allow the central IT&T operator to manage a large-scale, shared IPT platform as a single entity, simplifying integration with other BSS and OSS systems and reducing operational complexity and costs
- Automate and simplify the activation of new acquisitions, sites, phones, end-users and their phone services – providing real time provisioning in place of more manual, and often error-prone batch provisioning. The goal is to allow provisioning by a non-technical administrator
- Enable 'mass configuration' in support of migration programs and to allow much faster roll-out of IP devices and services
- Business monitoring and SLA maintenance
