VOSS automates many more use cases and allows these to be driven from the web portal in real-time. This is achieved because unlike other management systems, VOSS manages:
- The entire network infrastructure and not just a single IP-PBX cluster
- All the key IPT resources such as numbers and IP address sub-nets
- Dial plan
VOSS automates complex use cases such as:
- Adding a new sub-net to a location
- Adding a new number range to a location
- Adding a location
- Moving or deleting 100 users from a location
- Deleting a whole location and all of its users and phones, along with all of their dependencies
Other management systems are not able to automate these use cases manually across multiple infrastructure elements. Hence an engineer must be scheduled to perform this task and a work ticket created – none of which can be performed in real-time.
