Purpose of the position
We are looking for an amazing, customer and results focused Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to help drive and maximize our growth in APAC. As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will be responsible for supporting our customers to understand their requirements and how the VOSS Digital Workplace Management product suite can help our existing and new customers fulfill their digital transformation ambitions.

- To discuss deep technical details with customers, but revert to high level information with decision makers as appropriate.
- To be comfortable demonstrating solutions and thinking outside the box during these presentations.
- To have strong technical knowledge across collaboration and network technologies – both on premise and cloud.
- To own engagements from early requirements gathering through to proof of concept before handing over to the VOSS delivery team.
- To have the ability to work effectively in a diverse and remote team environment.
- To be comfortable working across multiple engagements, different regions and time-zones.
Duties and responsibilities
- Works on strategic project tasks.
- Engage with customers on a timely basis, to gather facts and analyze business requirements, including processes.
- Own the design of the customer-proposed solution and demonstrate functionality to support as required.
- Assist in the technical preparation of business process workflows and procedures.
- Assist customers with establishing and proving out project success criteria.
- Prepare end-user pre-sales documentation.
- Support the Sales organization with customer opportunity progress reports.
- Support peers and teams in specific areas of a project, such as a scope documentation, handover to delivery, customer requirement definition and success outcomes.
- Own the (hands-on) delivery of proof of concept/value (POC/V) projects to the customer.
Technical skills and experience
- Strong understanding of voice, video and network management or application performance management tools and systems and general IT industry environments.
- Strong hands-on experience of Cloud Collaborations tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, Webex etc.
- Excellent understanding of business processes.
- Excellent project and/or program management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- The ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of Customer requirements.
- Good creativity and the ability to work with abstract concepts.
- Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.
- Excellent client service orientation and engagement.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations, managing multiple urgent and complex tasks simultaneously.
- Strong experience working across project lifecycles from scoping to post go-live.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the functional aspects of the application or system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of business processes and associated technology.
- Demonstrate experience in providing technical guidance for the planning, design implementation of enterprise applications.
Minimum qualifications
- Relevant degree, diploma or technical certifications.
- 10 + years technical and/or pre-sales experience within the UC, Collaboration or Contact Centre Space.
- 5 + years hands on experience working for, or with, performance management tools (such as IR Prognosis, Nectar, Unify Square, Solarwinds, Cisco PCA, etc).
